Mae'r set hon yn cynnwys
jigiau o'r casgliad rhagorol o 100 o alawon dawns yn Cadw Twmpath, ail
lyfr alawon dawns Cymdeithas
Ddawns Gwerin Cymru. Casglodd Robin Huw Bowen yr alawon o hen
lyfrau a llawysgrifau yn Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru yn Aberystwyth ac
o ffynonellau clywedol gan gynnwys hen recordiadau. Cyhoeddwyd Cadw
Twmpath yn 1993 fel olynydd i Blodau'r Grug a fu'n boblogaidd iawn pan
ei gyhoeddwyd y flwyddyn gynt, yn gasgliad o 100 o alawon mewn tair
cyfrol hŷn o'r un enw a gynhoeddwyd yn gynt gan y gymdeithas. Gellir archebu'r llyfrau gwerthfawr hyn a fu'n adnodd defnyddiol tu hwnt i gerddoriaeth draddodiadol Gymreig ers iddynt gael eu cyhoeddi o wefan y Gymdeithas, pris £9.00 yr un + £2.00 dosbarthiad |
This
set comprises jigs from the excellent collection of 100 dance
tunes
in the second book of tunes published by the Welsh Folk Dance
Society, Cadw Twmpath.
This contains a collection of tunes gathered by Robin Huw Bowen from
old books and manuscripts in the National Library of Wales at
Aberystwyth and from aural sources including old recordings. Cadw Twmpath was published in 1993
as a successor to the very popular Blodau'r
Grug which was itself a complilation of 100 dance tunes from
three older volumes produced by the society. These invaluable books which have been a mainstay of Welsh traditional music ever since they were published can be ordered from the Society's website, price £9.00 each + £2.00 delivery |
