y sesiwn Caerdydd. . Cyhoeddodd Robin Huw Bowen gasgliad eang o bibddawnsiau Cymreig o'r 19eg ganrif yn Tro Llaw, gan gynnwys y rhai a gyflwynir yma. Cofiwch arwyddair Robin: Cyflym = araf + ymarfer! Mae pibddawnsiau yn cael eu chwarae gyda sgip ond yn cael eu hysgrifennu'n blaen, fel rîl, gyda'r ddealltwriaeth y gellir eu dehongli naill ai fel rîl neu bibddawns. Gallwch wrando ar y ffeiliau sain isod i glywed y wahanol ffurfiau. Ballch hefyd glywed fersiynau sain araf o'r ffeiliau hefyd i helpu dysgu trwy'r glust. |
This
set of popular South Wales hornpipes was taught to us at the Cardiff
session by Gareth Westacott. Robin Huw Bowen published a wide selection of Welsh hornpipes from the19th century manuscripts inTro Llaw, including those presented here. Remember Robin's motto: Fast = slow + practice! Hornpipes are played with a skip - dotted - but written in plain timing, like a reel, with the understanding that they can be interpreted either as a reel or a hornpipe. You can listen to the sound files below to hear the difference. Slow sound versions of the files are also included to make the tunes easier to learn by ear. |
